Preparing for Your Reading or Coaching Session

Whether you're joining me for a reading, animal communication, or coaching, there is no need to have everything figured out before we begin.

It can be helpful to have a general sense of what you'd like to explore, understand, or work on. You may have a specific question, a situation you'd like help with, or simply a goal for our time together.

You don't need to know exactly where the session will go. We'll use what you bring to determine the best place to begin and let the session unfold from there.

Before Your Session: How to Prepare

  • Think about what you’d like from our time together. You can come with a specific question, a situation you’d like to explore, or a general goal. Some examples:

    • (Human Reading) To better understand the way forward in XYZ situation

    • (Human Reading) To connect with a loved one who has passed

    • (Human Reading) To understand and address the root cause of what most holds you back (witnessing)

    • (Animal Communication) To better understand your animal’s behavior

    • (Animal Communication) To strengthen your relationship with your animal

    • (Behavior Change Coaching) To identify your unique risk factors to behavior change

    • (Behavior Change Coaching) To better hold various parties accountable for their role in changing behavior

    • (Intuitive Development Coaching) To better understand what your intuition is telling you

    • (Intuitive Development Coaching) To distinguish a gut instinct from a gut reaction

  • Prepare your space. Choose a quiet place where you can be present without distractions or interruptions.

  • Make yourself comfortable. Have water, comfortable clothing, a blanket, or anything else that helps you settle in.

  • Have paper and pen handy, if you’d like to take notes. Our session will not be recorded. Typing notes during our session can be very challenging, as having multiple tabs, windows, or screens open can make it more difficult for me to channel and for you to be present.

  • Minimize distractions. Close unnecessary windows and silence notifications on your computer, phone, and other devices.

  • Give yourself a few minutes to settle in before your session. Taking a few quiet minutes to breathe and check in with yourself can help you arrive feeling present and ready to get the most out of your session.

  • If you’re having a Human Reading, and you’d like to connect with someone who has died, please have their full name and birthday available

  • If you’re having an Animal Communication session to discuss a particular behavior or situation, it can be helpful to think about when it started and what you’ve observed.

During Your Session: What to Expect

  • Your session will be a private, one-on-one conversation focused on what you came to explore or work on. Please have your camera on. I will also be on camera.

  • Depending on the type of session, I may ask questions, share intuitive information, teach or explain concepts, guide an exercise, or help you work through what comes up.

  • It’s a conversation. You are always welcome to ask questions, clarify something, or redirect our focus as we go.

  • The goal is not simply to receive information, but to understand it and determine how it is meaningful and useful to you.

  • For readings, I will likely have my eyes closed for much of your session. This helps me to remain grounded and present, so I can best intuit and think clearly.

After Your Session: Close the Experience for Yourself

  • Give yourself a little time to reflect before jumping immediately into your next thing, if possible. 15 mins is great. Longer is better.

  • You may want to journal, take a walk, create something, or simply sit quietly with what came up.

  • Notice what stays with you in the hours and days afterward. Understanding and meaning continue to develop after the session ends.

  • Most importantly, give yourself permission to take what is useful and meaningful to you, and let the rest go.
